A 90-minute session that reframe survival
into strategy, and trauma into transformation.
Second Wednesday of each month
A 90-minute session that reframe survival into strategy, and trauma into transformation.
ICBM Fastbreak is the heart of the ICBM Workshop Series—an immersive, experience designed to help Black men and their allies move beyond survival and into intentional growth. Building on the foundation laid in Jumpstart, this phase of the journey dives deeper into the hidden architecture of who we’ve become—and who we still can be.
Over the course of this 90-minute session, participants explore three core areas:
How our earliest connections shape our ability to trust, feel safe, and show up fully in relationships and feel emotionally safe. This section helps uncover how childhood relationships, loss, or neglect may influence how we connect today—and how healing begins with awareness and reflection.
How the social, cultural, and physical spaces we grew up in continue to influence our habits, mindset, and sense of possibility? How do the spaces we occupy, our neighborhoods, places on work, and cultural systems shape our sense of self? This conversation centers on how social conditions—both nurturing and hostile—trained our minds for survival and how they still echo in our choices and how we show up emotionally.
How do our personal and collective histories affect the way we mature, cope, and navigate transitions across life stages? Our past doesn’t define us, but it may shape our foundational beliefs. We look at how identity, masculinity, and emotional habits developed over time—and how to interrupt what no longer serves you while preserving what still empowers and strengthens you.
Through storytelling, small group dialogue, guided reflection, and culturally grounded frameworks, Fastbreak helps participants reframe old narratives, reconnect to their emotional center, and begin reengineering their sense of purpose and identity.
Again, we’re not here to fix you—just to remind you of who you are and who you are becoming.
Whether you’re confronting generational wounds or looking to create new patterns of growth, Fastbreak is where transformation begins.
FastBreak is held on the second Wednesday of each month and runs for 90 minutes.
These sessions are centered on the experiences of Black men, but women are welcome and encouraged to attend. Their participation offers valuable perspective and fosters a deeper understanding of the obstacles men face in the broader society. Men are defined by the communities that nurture and embrace them.
